The Corporate Affairs Commission (CAC) has announced a temporary suspension of its Company Registration Portal.
The Commission made this known in a statement posted on its official X (formerly Twitter) account on Wednesday.
However, the Commission confirmed a cyber attack on its database, which affected multiple data points across Nigeria.
According to the statement, CAC’s portal suspension is expected to last for three days, from 17th April to Monday the 20th.
CAC noted that it is in collaboration with the National Information Technology Development Agency to mitigate the incidence.
Also, the Nigeria Data Protection Commission announced the commencement of an investigation into the data breach on Friday, he said.
“To serve you better, we will be carrying out scheduled maintenance on our portal this weekend, from 12:00 midnight today, 17th April 2026, to 6:00 a.m. on Monday, 20th April 2026.
“The portal may be unavailable during this period,” CAC stated.
