The race for World Cup glory is gathering momentum as 21 countries have now secured their places in the Round of 32 at the ongoing 2026 FIFA World Cup.
The latest teams to seal qualification are Egypt and Belgium, following the conclusion of Group G matches.
Egypt booked their place in the knockout stage after earning a 1-1 draw against Iran, finishing second in the group behind Belgium.
Belgium, meanwhile, produced a dominant display, thrashing New Zealand 5-1 to top Group G and advance comfortably to the last 32.
The two nations now join an expanding list of qualified teams, including Australia, Ivory Coast, Ecuador, Japan, the Netherlands, Sweden, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Colombia, Mexico, South Africa, Canada, Switzerland, the United States, Brazil, Morocco, Germany, France, Norway and Argentina.
With only a handful of places still up for grabs, the battle for the knockout rounds is intensifying as teams continue their quest to lift football’s biggest prize.
