Global mobility and urban services platform, inDrive, has appointed popular media personality and content creator KieKie as its new Chief Wahala Officer (CWO), a role designed to amplify the everyday transportation challenges faced by Lagos residents.
The company announced the appointment in a statement on Monday, June 29, 2026, explaining that the creative campaign was launched to draw attention to the realities of movement and mobility in Lagos State.
According to inDrive, the campaign generated overwhelming interest, attracting more than 450 applications from Nigerians eager to take on the unique role.
As Chief Wahala Officer, KieKie will spotlight the daily struggles commuters face, including traffic congestion, delivery delays, unreliable transport services and other mobility challenges affecting residents across Lagos.
Through the #inDriveCWO campaign, she will also encourage commuters to share their personal experiences, helping to spark conversations and raise awareness about the realities of daily transportation in the city.
Speaking on the initiative, Country Manager of inDrive Nigeria, Timothy Oladimeji, said KieKie’s appointment aligns with the company’s strategy of connecting with users through relatable personalities who reflect the everyday experiences of its community.
He noted that her authenticity, humour and strong connection with audiences make her the ideal ambassador to drive conversations around Lagos’ mobility challenges.
“KieKie is a perfect fit for this role because she represents exactly what this campaign is about—authenticity, humour and relatability. In a city like Lagos, where mobility comes with its own daily wahala, we needed someone who can reflect that reality in a way that is both entertaining and truthful,” Oladimeji said.
Expressing excitement over her appointment, KieKie described the role as an opportunity to shine a light on the daily transportation struggles faced by Lagos commuters while encouraging more people to share their experiences and contribute ideas that could make movement across the city easier and more enjoyable.
“I am finally happy to announce that I am the Chief Wahala Officer. My dear Lagosians, any delivery or ride-hailing wahala you may be facing is now in the past. Don’t worry, I am on duty, which means everything will go back to normal,” she said.
