Otunba Sanusi Adeniyi, Personal Assistant to Senator Solomon Olamilekan Adéọlá (YAYI), the All Progressives Congress (APC) governorship candidate for the 2027 Ogun State governorship election, at the weekend returned to his hometown of Ajilete Ward, where he inaugurated the ward’s polling booth structures and held a strategic engagement with youths (AYA), artisans, community leaders, traditional stakeholders and a large gathering of APC faithful.

He said the initiative was aimed at strengthening grassroots mobilisation and reaffirming the community’s commitment to Senator YAYI’s governorship bid ahead of the 2027 election.
Addressing the gathering, Otunba Sanusi Adeniyi highlighted what he described as Senator YAYI’s contributions to the development of Ajilete, Yewa South and Ogun State through impactful projects, empowerment programmes, educational support and quality representation. He urged residents to remain united and committed to delivering victory for the APC across every polling unit in Ajilete Ward, stressing that every vote would count.

Party leaders and stakeholders at the event commended Senator YAYI for his leadership and commitment to the welfare and development of the people. Those present included Alhaji Taliat Ayinde Sanusi, Hon. Dada Olubunmi, Alhaji Prince Jimoh Ishola Akinlade, former Chairman of Yewa South Local Government; Hon. Ogunbiyi Lukmon, former Leader of the House, Yewa South Local Government; Alhaji Balogun Raheem Kessy, APC Secretary in Yewa South Local Government; Chief Ogunlade; and Comrade Akinlade Akin. They pledged to mobilise support and work towards securing victory for the APC in the 2027 Ogun State governorship election.

The event also featured the presentation of two motorcycles—one to the Ajilete Vigilante Group and another to the town’s Youth Leader—in support of community security and youth development. Associations represented at the gathering included the Ajilete Youth Association and the Yewa South Mechanic Association, while women added colour to the occasion with vibrant political songs in appreciation of Senator YAYI’s leadership and developmental strides.

The meeting ended with a renewed commitment to grassroots mobilisation and party unity. Otunba Sanusi Adeniyi expressed appreciation to the Baales, party leaders, women, youths, artisans and other stakeholders for their support, while participants reaffirmed their determination to work for the success of Senator Solomon Olamilekan Adéọlá (YAYI) and other APC candidates in the 2027 elections.
