Afrobeats singer Seun Kuti has said he would not leave his wife if she cheats on him, insisting that infidelity does not necessarily mean the end of a relationship.
Kuti made the remarks while discussing marriage, relationships and how couples respond when infidelity occurs.
“If my wife cheats on me, I won’t leave her because it doesn’t mean anything,” the singer said.
He also criticised what he described as the attitude of some African men towards infidelity, arguing that cheating can occur within relationships and should not automatically lead to separation.
“African men are forming as if cheating isn’t a normal thing in a relationship,” Kuti said.
The singer also spoke about who he would trust with access to his properties, identifying his sister’s child as the person he considers his “real blood.”
“The only person that can have access to my properties is my sister’s child because that’s the real blood,” he said.
Kuti’s comments have drawn attention because of his unconventional views on marriage, infidelity and family, particularly his position that cheating alone would not be enough for him to end his marriage.
