Unilever Nigeria Posts ₦119.9bn H1 Revenue, Declares ₦11.5bn Interim Dividend

Unilever Nigeria Plc has reported a strong financial performance for the first half of 2026, posting double-digit growth in revenue and profit despite a challenging business environment.

According to the company’s unaudited financial results for the six months ended June 30, 2026, revenue increased by 22 per cent to ₦119.9 billion, up from ₦98.1 billion recorded in the corresponding period of 2025.

Gross profit rose by 30 per cent to ₦54.7 billion, compared with ₦42.1 billion in the same period last year, while net profit increased to ₦15.6 billion from ₦14.4 billion.

Following the improved performance, the Board of Directors approved an interim dividend of ₦2.00 per 50 kobo ordinary share, amounting to ₦11.5 billion, subject to applicable withholding tax. The dividend will be paid to shareholders whose names appear on the Register of Members at the close of business on July 31, 2026.

Commenting on the results, the Managing Director, Tobi Adeniyi, said the company delivered a resilient performance despite geopolitical uncertainties, rising production costs and pressure on consumer spending.

“We delivered a strong first half in a challenging operating environment, marked by geopolitical volatility, rising input costs and pressure on consumer spending. Despite these headwinds, we continued to grow by staying focused on what we can control, serving consumers better, strengthening our route-to-market capabilities, driving impactful innovation and executing with discipline,” he said.

Adeniyi attributed the company’s 22 per cent revenue growth, 30 per cent increase in gross profit and improved gross margin of 45.6 per cent to strong brand performance, disciplined operations and efficient market execution.

He added that the results reflect Unilever Nigeria’s commitment to meeting the changing needs of consumers through innovative and relevant brands.

Adeniyi also reaffirmed the company’s long-term commitment to Nigeria, noting that Unilever has invested in local manufacturing, talent development and value creation for more than a century.

Looking ahead, he said the company remains focused on delivering sustainable and profitable growth by strengthening its consumer focus, expanding innovation and creating long-term value for shareholders and other stakeholders.
