BREAKING: US Files Drug Trafficking and Terrorism Charges Against Venezuela’s President Maduro

The United States on Saturday announced the filing of drug trafficking and terrorism charges against Venezuelan President Nicolás Maduro.

The development followed a large-scale military operation by U.S. forces in Venezuela, which reportedly led to the capture of President Nicolás Maduro. In a statement, U.S. authorities said the operation was successfully carried out, resulting in Maduro and his wife being apprehended and flown out of the country.

“This operation was done in conjunction with US Law Enforcement,” Trump announced on Truth Social.

Trump said he would hold a news conference at 11:00 a.m. (1600 GMT) at his Mar-a-Lago residence in Florida, where he is concluding a two-week Christmas and New Year vacation.
