Peller, Carter Efe Earn International Streamer Award Nominations

Nigerian content creators Habeeb Hamzat, popularly known as Peller, and Oderhowo Carter Efe have earned nominations in the Best International Streamer category at the 2026 Streamer Awards, bringing international recognition to Nigeria’s growing streaming community.

The organisers announced the nominees on Friday through a post on X, listing Peller and Carter Efe among five contenders for the award.

The Nigerian creators will compete against Indian streamer Ashswag, Polish creator Young Multi and Cuban streamer Staryuuki for the category’s top honour.

Their nominations highlight the growing international visibility of Nigerian digital creators, whose audiences have expanded through platforms such as TikTok Live, Twitch and YouTube.

Both Peller and Carter Efe have built substantial followings through engaging livestreams, collaborations and viral moments that have attracted audiences across social media.

Peller, who recently disclosed that he had been invited to TikTok’s office in the United Kingdom, described the nomination as a milestone and dedicated the recognition to his fans.

Voting for the Best International Streamer category is now open on the official awards website and will close on October 31.

The winners will be determined through a combination of public voting, which accounts for 70 per cent of the final score, and a panellist assessment, which contributes the remaining 30 per cent.

The 2026 Streamer Awards ceremony is scheduled to take place on November 12 in Los Angeles, with the event set to stream live on Twitch and YouTube.
