EPL: Iwobi Fires Fulham to First League Win

Super Eagles midfielder Alex Iwobi scored the decisive goal as Fulham defeated Hull City 1-0 at Craven Cottage on Saturday to secure their first Premier League victory of the season.

The Nigerian international struck in the 33rd minute, rewarding Fulham’s sustained pressure and giving the hosts a lead that proved enough to secure all three points.

The victory ended Fulham’s winless start to the league campaign after their opening six matches, providing much-needed relief following a difficult run of results.

The Cottagers had faced mounting pressure to improve their performances, with Saturday’s result offering a boost to their hopes of climbing the Premier League table.

Despite creating several opportunities to extend their advantage, Fulham were unable to add to Iwobi’s goal. They nevertheless held on to secure the win, although Ryan Sessegnon was sent off in stoppage time.

Iwobi’s decisive strike proved crucial as Fulham ended their wait for a league victory and gained renewed momentum for the remainder of the campaign.

Fulham will next travel to face Coventry City on Saturday, October 24, as they seek to build on the victory and improve their position in the league standings.
