According to Soccernet, Victor Osimhen is now firmly on the radar of Real Madrid ahead of the summer transfer window.
The report also claims that José Mourinho is close to being appointed as Real Madrid’s next manager following his stint at Benfica.
Mourinho is said to have identified Osimhen as the striker to spearhead his attack at the Santiago Bernabéu.
The Portuguese tactician has long admired the Super Eagles forward. During Osimhen’s time at Napoli, the pair faced each other several times in Serie A when Mourinho was in charge of AS Roma.
The Portuguese manager has also publicly compared Osimhen to Ivorian legend, Didier Drogba, who he brought to Chelsea.
Also, Osimhen’s potential arrival would allow Kylian Mbappe and Vinicius Jr to return permanently to wider positions where they are most dangerous.
