Nigerian singer and entrepreneur Mr Eazi and his wife, Temi Otedola, have opened up about the extensive preparations they made ahead of welcoming their first child, revealing that they consulted nine doctors across different countries before making key decisions about the pregnancy.
Speaking during a recent episode of their podcast, the couple explained that the multiple medical consultations were driven by uncertainty over where they would eventually have their baby, prompting them to seek expert advice from various healthcare professionals around the world.
According to Mr Eazi, the consultations were aimed at exploring all available options and ensuring they made the best decision for their growing family.
“Why exactly did we see nine doctors? Because we wanted options and we didn’t know which country we would eventually choose,” he said.
The singer disclosed that he had strongly considered having their baby in Japan and had even begun researching Japanese names for the child.
Temi, however, jokingly dismissed the idea, saying she was not convinced by her husband’s enthusiasm for Japanese baby names.
The couple announced in May that they were expecting their first child after discovering the pregnancy during their honeymoon in Asia.
Mr Eazi and Temi Otedola tied the knot in a private ceremony in Iceland in August 2025 and have since shared snippets of their journey into parenthood with fans.
