No More Sudden Disconnections as Glo Upgrades ‘Borrow Me Credit’ Service

Digital solutions provider Globacom has enhanced its “Borrow Me Credit” service, giving millions of prepaid subscribers easier access to airtime and data whenever their balances run low.

The telecom company said the upgraded service is designed to ensure that customers remain connected, even during emergencies or when they are unable to recharge immediately.

According to a statement released by Globacom in Lagos, the eligibility requirements for the service have been simplified, making it easier for active prepaid subscribers across the country to borrow airtime and data. While a service charge applies, the company said the goal is to provide instant support and uninterrupted communication.

The enhanced offering now includes “Borrow Special Data” as well as “Borrow Airtime/Data for Others,” allowing subscribers to assist friends and family members who may need urgent connectivity. The initiative is aimed at strengthening customer convenience and keeping users connected when it matters most.

Globacom noted that whether it is an urgent business call, an academic research task, or staying in touch with loved ones during emergencies, the “Borrow Me Credit” service ensures that low airtime or data balance does not translate into a communication blackout.

The service provides flexible borrowing options, with airtime and data packages ranging from N25 to N4,000 to meet different customer needs and usage patterns.

The company explained that borrowing limits are tied to a subscriber’s usage profile and engagement on the network, with frequent users enjoying access to higher credit and data limits.

Globacom added that the structure of the service promotes sustainability while rewarding loyal customers with borrowing options that support their growing digital lifestyles.

Eligible prepaid subscribers can access the service by dialing *303# and selecting their preferred airtime or data option. Additional information on eligibility requirements and service charges is available on Globacom’s official website.
