Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) side Bendel Insurance have completed the signing of striker Jonathan Mairiga on a two-year contract ahead of the new season.
Mairiga joins the Benin Arsenals from Nigeria National League (NNL) club Wikki Tourists after an impressive campaign that established him as one of the league’s standout performers.
The prolific forward scored 14 goals and provided three assists for the Bauchi-based club last season, attracting interest with his consistent performances in front of goal.
Bendel Insurance will be hoping Mairiga quickly settles into the squad and delivers the attacking firepower needed as the club prepares for the upcoming NPFL campaign.
The two-year deal is expected to strengthen Bendel Insurance’s attacking options as they aim for a competitive outing in the new season.
