Turkish Super Lig side Trabzonspor have officially confirmed that they have begun negotiations to sign free-agent forward Mohamed Salah.
Salah has been without a club since leaving Liverpool at the end of last season, and the Egypt international now appears close to deciding the next destination of his illustrious career.
In a brief statement, Trabzonspor announced: “Negotiations have begun regarding the transfer of professional footballer Mohamed Salah to our club.”
Before Trabzonspor’s move, Salah had been linked with another Turkish club, Besiktas. However, his agent dismissed reports suggesting that discussions had taken place.
According to reports, the former Liverpool star is expected to sign a two-year contract with Trabzonspor, marking the beginning of a new chapter in his career.
