Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian has met with Russian President Vladimir Putin on the sidelines of the Shanghai Cooperation Organisation (SCO) summit in Kyrgyzstan.
The two leaders held talks on Tuesday, reviewing the latest state of bilateral relations between Iran and Russia and discussing ways to strengthen and expand cooperation across various fields.
The Iranian presidency confirmed the meeting in a statement accompanied by images of Putin and Pezeshkian shaking hands.
The meeting highlights the continued efforts by Tehran and Moscow to deepen bilateral cooperation, with the SCO summit providing an opportunity for both leaders to discuss areas of mutual interest and further collaboration.
