Former Super Eagles striker Obafemi Martins has tipped Seyi Tinubu for the presidency of the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF), saying the Nigerian businessman has the youthfulness and understanding of Nigerians needed for a future leadership role.
Martins made the statement on the Mikel Obi podcast, where he praised Seyi for being young and for understanding what Nigerians want.
The former Inter Milan forward noted that Seyi is not the NFF president at present but said he is already making efforts that could strengthen his chances of taking on a leadership position in Nigerian football.
“I think Seyi Tinubu can be the president of NFF. He’s young and understands what Nigerians want. He’s not the president yet, but he’s making efforts,” Martins said.
The endorsement comes amid renewed conversations about leadership and the future direction of Nigerian football, as stakeholders continue to consider what is needed to move the game forward.
