American rapper Cardi B has described Super Eagles goalkeeper Maduka Okoye as “really sweet” and “very kind,” adding fresh fuel to speculation about a possible romantic relationship between the pair after they were spotted together for the third time.
The latest sighting came in Italy on Thursday, September 3, shortly after Okoye’s club side, Udinese, came from behind to beat Venezia 2-1 in the Coppa Italia round of 32.
Cardi B reportedly spoke warmly about the goalkeeper while dining with a group of friends at a waterfront restaurant in Venice.
“He was really sweet. When you see him on social media, he looks very strict and stern, but he is very kind. I hope to see more of him,” she said.
The comments have intensified interest in the pair after they were first seen together at the Jean Paul Gaultier Fall/Winter 2026 Haute Couture show during Paris Fashion Week.
They were seated next to each other at the event before later being spotted chatting on a balcony at a private gathering, prompting fans to speculate about a possible relationship.
Days later, the pair were seen together again at the Venice dinner, while their third sighting in Italy has kept the speculation alive among fans.
Despite their repeated appearances across three cities in Italy and France since the rumours began in July, neither Cardi B nor Okoye has confirmed a romantic relationship. Other people were also present during each of the outings.
Okoye, who plays as a goalkeeper for Udinese and the Super Eagles, was born in Düsseldorf to a Nigerian father and German mother.
The goalkeeper has also attracted increasing attention away from football this year, including appearances at Paris Fashion Week and the Formula One British Grand Prix, alongside the continuing speculation involving Cardi B.
