Nollywood actress and filmmaker Toyin Abraham has declared herself the “greatest of all time” in the Nigerian movie industry while announcing her latest film, Bestie.
Abraham made the bold declaration on Saturday in a post on X, where she promoted the movie ahead of its cinema premiere scheduled for December 16.
“I am the greatest of all time in the movie industry, and the greatest movie, Bestie, is coming on the 16th Dec in all cinemas,” she wrote.
The actress is regarded as one of Nollywood’s successful entertainers and filmmakers, having built a notable career both in front of and behind the camera.
Her claim comes against the backdrop of her recent box-office success with Oversabi Aunty, her 2025 film, which reportedly crossed the N1 billion mark in Nigeria.
The achievement made Oversabi Aunty the first directorial debut by a Nollywood filmmaker to surpass N1 billion at the Nigerian box office. The film also became the fourth highest-grossing Nollywood movie of all time.
With Bestie now set for release, Abraham is seeking to build on that momentum as she continues to strengthen her profile as one of the prominent figures in Nigeria’s film industry.
