The presidential candidate of the African Action Congress (AAC), Omoyele Sowore, has declared that no force on earth can stop what he described as the revolution in Nigeria.
Sowore made the statement shortly after an Abuja Federal High Court granted him bail in the sum of N200 million, while alleging that authorities have consistently targeted his international passport.
The human rights activist was, however, returned to the Kuje Correctional Centre pending the fulfilment of his bail conditions.
Justice Mohammed Umar admitted Sowore to bail under stringent conditions, including the provision of two sureties—one a traditional ruler from his home community and the other an Abuja property owner. The court also ordered him to deposit his international passport.
Sowore has remained in custody since June 22, 2026, following his arraignment over allegations that he referred to President Bola Tinubu as a criminal.
Reacting to the court’s decision, Sowore said:
“There is no force on earth that can stop this revolution. We warned them, but they didn’t listen. I was granted N200 million bail. They have always been after my passport. When we get to that bridge, we will cross it.”
