2027: Tinubu Secures APC Presidential Ticket With 10.99m Votes

 

 

 

 

President Bola Tinubu has emerged as the presidential candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC) for the 2027 election after defeating fellow aspirant Stanley Osifo in the party’s direct primaries.

Tinubu secured 10.99 million votes, while Osifo polled 16,504 votes in the primaries conducted across 8,809 wards nationwide.

The outcome emerged during the ongoing national collation of results at the President Bola Ahmed Tinubu International Conference Centre in Abuja.

Governors from 31 APC-controlled states, alongside senior party officials serving as coordinators and collation officers, presented their states’ results to the Presidential Primary Election Committee headed by former Senate President Pius Anyim.

President Tinubu swept all 36 states and the Federal Capital Territory, recording 100 per cent votes in most states. However, Osifo posted notable figures in some areas, including Niger where he scored 5,248 votes, Kano with 2,675, Lagos with 1,186, Abia with 1,007, Oyo with 929, Benue with 779, and Nasarawa with 768 votes.
