Presiding Bishop of Living Faith Church Worldwide, Bishop David Oyedepo, has stated that he will never engage in politics, even if offered $1 billion.
Speaking at the church’s annual Shiloh gathering, the 71-year-old cleric urged members to remain steadfast in their “divine assignments.” He stated, “Partisan politics is off my calling. If you give me $1 billion to join politics, I won’t, because it’s off my course.” Oyedepo encouraged members to make an impact and lead in their spheres as part of “God’s end-time Army.”
“The world is groaning in darkness, but as stated in Romans 8:19, it is waiting for the earnest manifestations of the children of God,” Oyedepo said. “The army of God is about to emerge to offer solutions to national crises in the order of Joseph and Daniel. It is the day of what eyes have not seen or ears heard.”
This is not the first time Oyedepo has expressed his disinterest in holding a political position.
