Massive turnout as Yayi Progressives Movement is launched in Abeokuta

 

 

 

 

The Ake Palace Pavilion in Abeokuta was filled to capacity as a large crowd of supporters, party members, and political stakeholders gathered for the official unveiling of the Yayi Progressives Movement (YPM) on May 3.

Participants from across Ogun State and beyond attended the event, with the venue reaching full capacity while many others stood in surrounding areas.

The atmosphere was lively, marked by chants, banners, and coordinated displays reflecting strong grassroots support for the movement.

In their remarks, the movement’s leaders said it was established as a platform to promote unity, deepen political engagement, and strengthen community outreach.

They stressed the need for collective involvement in shaping the future direction of Ogun State, noting that the movement would help maintain continuous connection with the people.

Moreso, attendees at the event included youths, women, professionals, and community leaders, reflecting a broad and diverse support base.

The large turnout and level of organisation were seen as a strong indication of the movement’s growing influence and readiness, positioning the Yayi Progressives Movement as an emerging force in Ogun State’s political landscape.
