Obi, Kwankwaso formally join NDC ahead of 2027

Peter Obi, former Labour Party presidential candidate, and his New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP) counterpart, Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso, have formally joined the Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC).

Both joined the NDC after Obi earlier on Sunday dumped the African Democratic Congress (ADC).

The two political heavyweights made their decisions with the aim of paving the way for their aspirations for the 2027 presidency.

They were received received by the National Leader of the NDC and former Governor of Bayelsa State, Henry Seriake Dickson and its National Chairman, Moses Cleopas, at the party’s headquarters in Abuja.

Party leaders described the development as a sign of growing nationwide confidence in the NDC.
