Arsenal Begin EPL Title Defence Against Coventry as Premier League Unveils 2026/27 Opening Day Fixtures

 

The Premier League has officially released the opening day fixtures for the 2026/27 season, setting the stage for another thrilling campaign as defending champions Arsenal prepare to begin their title defence against newly promoted Coventry City.

The Gunners will welcome Frank Lampard’s Coventry City to the Emirates Stadium in the season opener on Friday, August 21, as they seek to build on last season’s championship success.

Former champions Manchester City will kick off their campaign at home against Bournemouth, while Manchester United face a tricky away trip to newly promoted Hull City. Chelsea will round off the opening fixtures with a highly anticipated West London derby against Fulham.

The new Premier League season is scheduled to commence on August 22, 2026, and will feature 33 weekend rounds and five midweek matchdays, promising months of intense competition among England’s elite clubs.
