Liverpool Prepare Bid for PSG’s Bradley Barcola as Salah’s Successor

Liverpool are preparing an opening bid for Paris Saint-Germain winger Bradley Barcola as the Premier League club steps up efforts to strengthen its attack following the departure of Mohamed Salah.

According to BBC Sport, the France international has emerged as Liverpool’s preferred candidate to replace Salah, who left Anfield at the end of last season after a successful spell with the club.

Barcola, 23, is valued by PSG at around £145 million, a fee that would break the current British transfer record. However, Liverpool are reportedly hoping to negotiate a deal closer to £100 million.

The French winger has two years remaining on his contract with the Ligue 1 champions but is said to be open to a move to Liverpool as he seeks a fresh challenge after slipping down the pecking order at PSG.

Liverpool’s pursuit of Barcola comes as the club looks to reinforce its attacking options ahead of the new season. The Reds had also considered RB Leipzig winger Yan Diomande, but the youngster is now expected to join Real Madrid.

Since joining PSG, Barcola has developed into one of Europe’s most exciting young attackers, earning praise for his pace, dribbling ability, versatility and effectiveness across the forward line.

Liverpool are now expected to test PSG’s resolve with an opening bid as they continue rebuilding the squad and search for a long-term successor to Mohamed Salah.
