The All Progressives Congress, APC, has released the names of House of Representatives aspirants disqualified from participating in its National Assembly primaries ahead of the 2027 general elections.

In a statement signed on Saturday by the party’s National Publicity Secretary, Felix Morka, the APC said the affected aspirants were marked “not cleared” after a nationwide screening exercise conducted across federal constituencies.

According to the party, the screening committees followed APC guidelines and procedures in determining the eligibility of aspirants for the primaries.

The list cuts across Ondo, Bauchi, Ebonyi, Kogi and Rivers states, with several notable politicians affected.

In Ondo State, aspirants from constituencies including Idanre/Ifedore, Akoko and Owo/Ose were disqualified. In Bauchi State, Bashir Ibrahim Bello of Darazo/Ganjuwa Federal Constituency was marked “not cleared,” while in Ebonyi State, Idu Igariwe of Afikpo/Edda Federal Constituency was also affected.

The APC also disqualified Sanni Salau Ogembe from Okene/Ogori-Magongo Federal Constituency in Kogi State. In Rivers State, several aspirants, including Boma Goodhead, were listed among those not cleared for the primaries.

The party, however, did not state the specific reasons behind the disqualifications.

Meanwhile, in Katsina State, Jamila Mani emerged winner of the APC primary for Mani/Bindawa Federal Constituency.

In Adamawa State, the party’s House of Representatives primaries recorded disruptions in some wards after officials reportedly failed to arrive on time, leaving members stranded without updates on the exercise.

The APC said the primaries are part of its preparations for the 2027 general elections.
