England captain Harry Kane etched his name deeper into football history after surpassing Brazilian legend Pele’s World Cup goals record, inspiring the Three Lions to a dramatic 2-1 comeback victory over the Democratic Republic of Congo in the Round of 32 on Wednesday.
England looked set for a shock exit after Brian Cipenga fired DR Congo into the lead with a brilliant first-half finish.
