Nigerian Afrobeats superstar Ayodeji Balogun, popularly known as Wizkid, has sparked excitement among fans after hinting that he is working on a new album.
The Grammy Award-winning artiste revealed that he is enjoying the process of making the forthcoming project in a post on his X handle.
Wizkid wrote: “Having so much fun making this next one! Can’t wait to share 😇🦅😇 #album”.
Responding to fans eagerly anticipating the project, the singer added: “E go drop, make una stop dey fight,” assuring them that the album would eventually be released.
The posts have intensified anticipation among Wizkid’s fans, many of whom have been waiting for details about his next full-length project.
The singer, however, did not reveal the title or release date of the forthcoming album.
The project will follow Morayo, Wizkid’s sixth studio album, which was released in November 2024 and dedicated to his late mother, Jane Balogun.
Morayo featured collaborations with artistes including Brent Faiyaz, Asake, Jazmine Sullivan, Tiakola and Anaïs Cardot.
Wizkid has also released several major projects throughout his career, including Made in Lagos, More Love, Less Ego and Sounds From the Other Side.
