Olu of Warri Attends Private Screening of ‘On Different Grounds’ in Lagos

 

 

 

 

 

 

The Olu of Warri, Ogiame Atuwatse III, attended the private screening of the film On Different Grounds held on May 9 at the Civic Centre in Victoria Island, Lagos.

The event attracted traditional rulers, government officials, diplomats, and key figures from Nigeria’s entertainment industry ahead of the film’s official public release.

Among those in attendance were former Minister Frank Nweke Jr., actresses Kate Henshaw and Ini Edo, actor Bob Manuel Udokwu, producer Ope Ajayi, and media executive Seun Oloketuyi.

Speaking during the screening, the Olu of Warri praised the producers and cast for presenting a story that reflects Nigeria’s diversity, resilience, and cultural identity.

He described the creative industry as an important platform for cultural expression and youth empowerment, adding that more support should be given to projects that promote Nigeria’s values globally.

On Different Grounds explores themes of unity, identity, and purpose across Nigeria’s cultural landscape, while the Warri Kingdom reaffirmed its commitment to supporting initiatives that promote culture, peace, and opportunities for young people in the creative sector.
