Nigerian Government, CBM Push Nationwide Awareness and Grassroots Adoption of CNG

The Presidential Initiative on Compressed Natural Gas (PiCNG) has launched a renewed campaign to boost public awareness, deepen grassroots mobilisation, and expand nationwide education on the economic and environmental advantages of CNG. The effort aligns with the federal government’s push to steer Nigeria toward a more sustainable and inclusive energy future.

The Chief Executive Officer of PiCNG, Dr. Ismaeel Ahmed, outlined the government’s plans during a courtesy visit from the Director-General of City Boy Movement (CBM), Francis Oluwatosin Shoga, on Tuesday, aimed at forging a strategic partnership for grassroots-focused development. Dr. Ahmed emphasized that collaborating with a grassroots mobilizer like CBM would serve as a vital link between federal initiatives and local communities. He added that the partnership would enhance public awareness, deepen grassroots engagement, and highlight the environmental benefits of CNG, encouraging Nigerians to actively participate in and reap the rewards of the growing gas-powered economy.
