Air Peace Apologises Over Flight Disruptions, Says Safety Comes Before Schedules

Air Peace has apologized to passengers affected by recent flight delays and cancellations, acknowledging the frustration and inconvenience caused by disruptions across some of its operations.

In a statement, the airline’s management said the disruptions were caused by a combination of unforeseen circumstances, including an inadvertent false fire alarm that grounded one of its aircraft, adverse weather conditions that led to diversions and cancellations, a bird strike that kept another aircraft on the ground for days, technical issues requiring mandatory checks and maintenance, and delays in the availability of aviation fuel in some cases.

The airline said it understood the impact of the disruptions on passengers, particularly those who were left waiting, forced to rearrange important plans or had their journeys cancelled.

“While some of these circumstances were beyond our immediate control, we acknowledge the impact they have had on our passengers,” the airline said, adding that its priority was to manage the challenges responsibly, minimise disruptions and ensure passengers did not bear the consequences of operational difficulties.

Air Peace, however, stressed that it would not compromise passenger safety in an attempt to keep to flight schedules.

The airline said safety remained its highest priority and that an aircraft would not be released for service until its technical teams and all relevant safety procedures had confirmed that it was safe to fly.

It explained that where adverse weather, technical problems, bird strikes or other safety-related circumstances required an aircraft to remain on the ground, that decision would always take precedence over operational convenience.

The airline said it was taking immediate steps to stabilise its operations, strengthen its contingency measures and improve communication and responsiveness whenever unforeseen challenges occur.

Air Peace reaffirmed its commitment to providing safe, dependable and increasingly seamless air travel, while working to restore and strengthen the confidence of passengers.

“To every passenger who has been inconvenienced, kept waiting, had a journey disrupted or had to rearrange important plans because of these operational challenges, we sincerely apologise,” the airline said.

It added that it appreciated the patience and understanding of passengers and remained committed to delivering the quality, reliability and service experience they deserve.
