Dangote Refinery IPO: Moniepoint POS Opens Share Subscription to More Nigerians

The Dangote Petroleum Refinery has expanded access to its ongoing Initial Public Offering (IPO), allowing prospective investors to subscribe for shares through participating Moniepoint Point-of-Sale (POS) agents across Nigeria.

The initiative is aimed at bringing share ownership closer to millions of Nigerians, particularly those in communities where agency banking has become a major channel for accessing financial services.

Under the arrangement, interested investors can visit participating Moniepoint agents to complete their subscription through the approved process, further widening access to the Dangote Refinery IPO.

The move supports the company’s ambition of building one of the broadest shareholder bases in Africa, with a long-term target of reaching 10 million shareholders.

The refinery’s shares are being offered at N525 per share, with a minimum subscription of 10 shares, representing an entry investment of N5,250. Investors can also subscribe multiple times during the offer period, allowing them to progressively increase their holdings.

The company said the partnership with Moniepoint is part of its effort to democratise investment opportunities and make ownership of the refinery more accessible to ordinary Nigerians.

“One of the key objectives of this public offer is to broaden participation and make share ownership accessible to ordinary Nigerians. By leveraging the extensive Moniepoint agent network, we are bringing the opportunity to invest in the Dangote Refinery closer to the people, wherever they may be,” the company stated.

According to the company, agency banking has helped expand financial inclusion by taking financial services closer to underserved communities. The same infrastructure is now being used to create wider access to the capital market.

The company said the initiative reinforces its long-term goal of building a broad and diversified shareholder community, giving millions of Nigerians an opportunity to hold a direct stake in the refinery.

Prospective subscribers using Moniepoint agents are required to complete transactions through the approved subscription process and retain their receipts as evidence of payment. Subscription confirmations will also be sent through SMS to investors’ registered telephone numbers.

The company advised intending investors to carefully review the Prospectus and seek professional advice from licensed stockbrokers or financial advisers before making investment decisions.

With participating Moniepoint agents providing wider access and the minimum investment set at N5,250, the Dangote Petroleum Refinery IPO is seeking to bring share ownership closer to millions of Nigerians and expand participation in one of Africa’s major industrial investments.
