Dr. Badmus Backs Yayi’s Vision for Ogun’s Next Chapter

In every political journey, there are individuals whose commitment goes beyond campaign rallies, public appearances and political declarations. For Alhaji Otunba Dr. Adewale Mutiu Badmus, Chairman/CEO of Alhatyq Travels and Tours Limited, support for Senator Olamilekan Adeola Solomon Yayi is rooted in a personal conviction about the future of Ogun State.

Dr. Badmus has consistently identified with the Yayi political project, describing the senator’s aspiration to become governor of Ogun State as an opportunity to build on what he regards as Yayi’s record of representation, empowerment, development and service, particularly to the people of Ogun West Senatorial District.

For Dr. Badmus, the Yayi vision represents more than a political ambition. It is, in his view, an opportunity to translate years of legislative experience, representation and grassroots engagement into a broader agenda for the development of Ogun State.

His support for the aspiration has been demonstrated through advocacy, participation in political structures and engagement with people and groups working towards the actualisation of the Yayi project.

Dr. Badmus has consistently used different platforms to promote and propagate the ideas, programmes and vision associated with Senator Yayi. He has spoken about Yayi’s record of representation and his belief that the senator’s years in the National Assembly have provided valuable experience for the wider responsibility of governing the state.

His advocacy is anchored on the conviction that the experience gained through representing Ogun West can provide a foundation for broader service to the people of Ogun State.

He believes that leadership of the state requires an understanding of the aspirations of its different communities, the importance of economic opportunity and human capital development, and the ability to translate political experience into practical governance.

Dr. Badmus has also been part of different structures and groups working towards the actualisation of Senator Yayi’s gubernatorial aspiration. His participation has involved efforts around mobilisation, communication, grassroots engagement and sustaining awareness of the Yayi project.

His involvement demonstrates that his support goes beyond public declarations. He has continued to identify with the movement and contribute his time, influence and energy to its objectives.

At the heart of Dr. Badmus’s support is his assessment of Senator Yayi’s record over the years.

As Senator representing Ogun West Senatorial District, Yayi has been associated with legislative representation, empowerment initiatives and interventions aimed at improving the lives of his constituents. Dr. Badmus believes these experiences provide an important foundation for gubernatorial leadership.

In his view, Ogun State needs leadership that understands the aspirations of its different communities and can build on existing opportunities while creating new avenues for young people, businesses and communities across the state.

He believes Yayi’s legislative experience can be applied to a wider development agenda if he is given the opportunity to lead Ogun State.

For Dr. Badmus, however, the Yayi project is bigger than an individual politician. It represents, in his view, the possibility of an Ogun State where young people have greater opportunities, businesses can thrive, communities receive meaningful attention and government remains connected to the needs of ordinary citizens.

That belief continues to shape his advocacy.

From political engagement to grassroots mobilisation, Dr. Badmus has maintained his identification with the Yayi vision and the aspiration to take it beyond Ogun West to the wider Ogun State.

As conversations about the future leadership of Ogun State continue, he remains convinced that Senator Olamilekan Adeola Solomon Yayi’s record, experience and vision should form part of the conversation about the state’s next chapter.

For Dr. Badmus, that next chapter should be centred on service, development, opportunity and a government that remains connected to the people.

His hope is for an Ogun State where the dividends of governance reach more citizens, businesses have room to grow, young people can pursue meaningful opportunities and communities receive greater attention.

Alhaji Otunba Dr. Adewale Mutiu Badmus therefore remains a committed believer, advocate and mobiliser for the Yayi vision, convinced that the journey from representing Ogun West to seeking the leadership of Ogun State could usher in a new chapter of service, development and opportunity for the people.

For him, the Yayi vision is ultimately about what the next chapter of Ogun State can become—and the possibility of building a future in which the collective prosperity and wellbeing of the people remain at the centre of governance.
