IGCC Ladies Open: Competition Heats Up as Players Begin Race for Championship Trophy

 

 

 

Country Club (IGCC) Ladies Open Golf Championship trophy tees off today in Asaba, Delta State, as lady golfers swing into action for the coveted prize. Over 150 players with handicaps ranging from 0 to 28 are expected to open tournament day one, having arrived in the capital city yesterday filled with hope and excitement.

Today’s event, being tournament day one is anticipated to tee off with over 150 ladies with handicap ranging from 0 -28 who had arrived the capital city yesterday, full of hope and excitement.

The digital Lady Captain, Rita Izoje in conjunction with her IGCC Ladies Division Committee had made adequate preparation ahead of their arrival while the club has also received the beautiful touch of the ladies action.

The aftermath of today’s event will determine those that would progress to Saturday, tournament day two in continuation of the battle since it is likely that some ladies will eventually hole out due to good reasons.

Also holding today is the cocktail and ‘Thank God Its Friday’ (TGIF) night commencing from 6pm till day break especially for ladies that will decide to retire from the event.

Furthermore, tomorrow’s being the day two event will feature continuation of ladies hcp 0 – 28 golf in anticipation to meet the target gross for final day while men’s are to beat the green course too.

The hole 19 evening event is about dinner and all white party promising to be fun and exciting, and to feel the hospitality of IGCC ladies and their men’s charisma.

Meanwhile, Sunday grande final tournament is for the big ladies who know how to swing, as it is solely for top 45 ladies who made the cut after two days of actions. This will be determined by the quality of playing and gross accumulation for the first two days of activities on the course.

Similarly, various sponsors will have opportunity to swing alongside best ladies at the course as well while later in the day is presentation of prizes after the last set returns.

Veritas Nexus Report notes that the tournament, themed “Golf and Glamour,” has attracted top amateur golfers—both men and women—as well as professionals from across the country to Asaba.

The tournament officially began on Tuesday with a caddies’ event featuring over 30 participants, followed on Thursday by a spirited contest in which ladies with handicaps 29–36 played alongside professionals, creating an atmosphere of camaraderie and memorable moments on the fairway.

The day also saw the arrival and practice rounds of both female and male golfers, capped off by a vibrant flag-hoisting ceremony and an exceptional suya night.
