The Nigerian Content Development and Monitoring Board (NCDMB) has successfully concluded a training program on Local Content Compliance in Procurement and Tendering, reinforcing its commitment to advancing local content and boosting indigenous participation in the oil and gas sector.
NCDMB conducted the training in Port Harcourt, Rivers State, in partnership with 17 ASUS Resources Ltd., as part of it’s efforts to enhance the capacity of Nigerian businesses and professionals in the oil and gas sector.
It equipped participants with the necessary knowledge and skills needed to navigate the complexities of local content compliance in procurement and tendering processes within the industry.
Key takeaways from the training which ended on Friday, November 28, 2025, included: Understanding local content regulations and policies, Compliance strategies and best practices, Procurement planning and tendering processes and Contract management and supplier development.
In his remark at the closing ceremony, the COO of 17 Asus Resources Ltd, Abiola Akindolire, commended President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for his support to the Board.
It is pertinent to note that NCDMB has been at the forefront of promoting local content development in Nigeria’s oil and gas industry.
The Board’s Executive Secretary, Engr. Felix Omatsola Ogbe, reiterated the organization’s commitment to implementing initiatives that foster local content growth and ensure compliance with industry regulations.
Through its focus on local content development, the NCDMB seeks to enhance the involvement of indigenous companies in the oil and gas sector while driving broader economic growth.
