Nigerian winger Samuel Kalu has committed his future to Bulgarian side Botev Plovdiv after signing a new contract that will keep him at the club until 2029.
The new deal ends speculation over the Super Eagles star’s future following reports linking him with a move to fellow Bulgarian club Levski Sofia and several Swiss teams.
Botev Plovdiv have now secured the services of the 28-year-old winger for the coming years, underlining their confidence in his ability and importance to the team.
Kalu joined the two-time Bulgarian champions last summer after leaving Sky Bet Championship side Watford and went on to make 26 appearances in all competitions, scoring two goals during his debut campaign.
The experienced winger has also featured for clubs including AS Trenčín, KAA Gent, Girondins Bordeaux and Watford, bringing a wealth of experience to the Bulgarian outfit as he prepares for the next chapter of his career.
