Senator Abdul-Aziz Abubakar Yari (Zamfara West) has condemned recent violent incidents across Nigeria and called on citizens to actively support security agencies through intelligence sharing and community vigilance.

In a formal statement, Yari described security as “a shared national responsibility” and urged Nigerians to resist ethnic and religious divisions he said criminal actors deliberately exploit.

The senator commended President Bola Tinubu and the Nigerian military, police, and intelligence services for their counterinsurgency and anti-banditry efforts, while appealing to traditional and religious leaders to reinforce community peace structures.

Yari, a former governor of Zamfara State, offered condolences to families affected by recent attacks and warned against despair, citing Nigeria’s “history of resilience” as grounds for optimism.

No specific incidents, casualty figures, or legislative proposals were referenced in the statement.
