Nigerian singer Olawale Ashimi, popularly known as Brymo, has challenged fellow artistes Burna Boy, Davido and 2Face to publicly deny any knowledge of an alleged 2019 incident in which he claimed he was lured into joining a secret cult.
Brymo made the allegation during a recent interview on the Lahor Talk podcast while discussing his long-running disagreements with the three musicians.
His comments came weeks after Burna Boy referenced him in a diss track, saying, “Hustle make you no go fall off like Brymo.”
Brymo subsequently reacted to the remark in July, vowing to respond and saying he was not concerned about the fraternity he alleged Burna Boy belonged to.
During the latest interview, Brymo was asked whether he would forgive Burna Boy if the singer withdrew his remarks and apologised.
Brymo, however, rejected the suggestion, saying an apology was not what he was seeking from Burna Boy, Davido or 2Face. Instead, he wants the three artistes to publicly state whether they knew anything about what he claimed happened to him at Chevron in 2019.
Brymo alleged that he was invited to Chevron under the impression that he was going to be hosted, only to allegedly find himself under pressure to join a cult.
According to him, the names of Burna Boy, Davido and 2Face were mentioned by people who allegedly pressured him during the incident.
“Which forgiveness? I don’t have forgiveness on Burna Boy, 2Face or Davido. I want them to tell me that they truly don’t know about wetin happened to me for Chevron or not,” he said.
Brymo further challenged the three musicians to publicly deny any knowledge or involvement in the alleged incident.
“When I got attacked. When I was lured into being hosted. Only to be told that I need to join cult. And they mentioned their names,” he alleged.
He said the incident occurred in 2019 and described 2026 as the seventh anniversary of what he claimed happened to him.
Brymo maintained that he was not seeking an apology but wanted the artistes to publicly state that they had nothing to do with the alleged incident.
“I’m not asking for an apology. Just be a man and say, ‘Brymo, I have nothing to do with it,’” he said.
He added that he would continue to raise the allegation until the artistes addressed it.
The allegations made by Brymo have not been independently established, and there was no response from Burna Boy, Davido or 2Face to the claims in the material available for this report.
