Nigerian Grammy-winning singer Burna Boy and Colombian music star Shakira have set a new FIFA World Cup music record after their official 2026 tournament anthem, Dai Dai, surpassed 800 million combined streams across Spotify and YouTube Music.
The milestone follows the song’s outstanding performance during the tournament, recording more than 200 million streams on Spotify and over 600 million views on YouTube Music.
According to figures released after the competition, Dai Dai emerged as the highest-performing official FIFA World Cup song throughout the 2026 tournament.
The track has also become the most-viewed FIFA World Cup music video since Shakira’s La La La (Brazil 2014), further cementing its place in the tournament’s musical history.
Released ahead of the 2026 FIFA World Cup, the collaboration quickly gained global popularity as football fans embraced the anthem during matchdays, celebrations and fan events across different countries.
The record-breaking achievement establishes Dai Dai as the defining soundtrack of the 2026 FIFA World Cup, marking another major international milestone for Burna Boy while reinforcing Shakira’s enduring legacy as one of the most successful artists in FIFA World Cup music history.
