The Corporate Affairs Commission (CAC) has introduced new mandatory guidelines that must now be met for all Business Name Online Update requests.
In a notice titled “Important Notice For Business Name Update” shared on its official X handle on Wednesday, the CAC announced that, effective immediately, every Business Name Online Update request must include the following details: date of birth, registered office email, proprietor’s email, phone number for the registered address (or the proprietor, if different), and a valid means of identification.
“Please provide these details to ensure smooth processing,” the commission noted, adding that the additional information is required to facilitate seamless handling of all update requests
