Chelle Opens Up on Dream to Coach Real Madrid

 

 

Super Eagles head coach Éric Chelle has  opens up on his dream to coach real madrid one day and  become the first African to manage Spanish football giants.

Chelle, who began his coaching journey in 2014 with French amateur club Groupe Sportif Consolat, has steadily built a reputation as one of Africa’s finest homegrown coaches.

The 48-year-old further boosted his profile after leading the Super Eagles to a commendable third-place finish at the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations.

The former defender also led his native Mali to the quarter-finals of the AFCON 2023 tournament.

Chelle has reportedly been courted by a number of African countries.

However, Chelle said his long-term ambition is to one day take charge from the dugout at Real Madrid.

“My dream is to become the first African coach to manage Real Madrid,” Chelle told RMC Sport.
