Nigerian dancer and entertainer Iweh Odinaka, popularly known as Poco Lee, is still scheduled to appear before the Snaresbrook Crown Court in the United Kingdom on September 15, 2026, in connection with an ongoing sexual offence case.
The Crown Prosecution Service (CPS) confirmed that Odinaka is due to appear for a Plea and Trial Preparation Hearing (PTPH), following an inquiry by PUNCH Online.
The CPS Press Office said, “This case is still live, and Odinaka is still set to appear for a PTPH at Snaresbrook Crown Court on 15 September 2026.”
A Plea and Trial Preparation Hearing is a pre-trial proceeding at which matters relating to the defendant’s plea and preparations for trial are considered.
The clarification comes amid social media reports claiming that Odinaka had been released from a UK prison and that the complainant had either withdrawn from the case or reached an out-of-court settlement.
However, those claims had not been independently confirmed by the UK court as of the time of filing the report.
Odinaka is facing five sexual offence charges in the UK, including attempted rape, two counts of rape and two counts of assault by penetration.
The case was previously listed for a Plea and Trial Preparation Hearing on September 15.
The court has also imposed a reporting restriction to protect the identity of the complainant under Section 1 of the Sexual Offences (Amendment) Act 1992.
The charges followed Odinaka’s visit to the UK for the Davido and Friends concert held at the Crystal Palace Bowl in London on August 14.
Odinaka has not been convicted of any offence, and the allegations against him remain subject to determination by the court.
