Liverpool have officially completed the signing of France international Bradley Barcola from Paris Saint-Germain, with the forward becoming the club’s second-most expensive signing in history.
The Reds confirmed the transfer on Monday, with Barcola signing a five-year contract at Anfield.
Liverpool will pay an initial £106 million for the 23-year-old, while add-ons could take the total value of the deal to £123 million.
The agreement comes after weeks of negotiations between Liverpool and PSG, with the French club previously valuing Barcola at around £145 million.
Barcola now becomes Liverpool manager Andoni Iraola’s third major signing of the summer, following the arrivals of Victor Munoz and Ronald Araujo.
The deal places Barcola just behind Alexander Isak on Liverpool’s all-time transfer spending list. Isak remains the club-record signing after joining from Newcastle United for £125 million last summer.
Barcola’s arrival further underlines Liverpool’s ambition in the transfer market as the club strengthens its squad ahead of the new season.
