World Cup 2026 Heartbreak: Tunisia Join Haiti and Turkey as First Nations Eliminated

The FIFA World Cup 2026 has claimed its latest casualty, with Tunisia becoming the third nation to be officially eliminated from the tournament.

The North Africans crashed out after suffering a crushing 4-0 defeat to Japan at Estadio Monterrey in Guadalupe on Sunday.

The loss left Tunisia rooted to the bottom of Group F with zero points from two matches, ending any hope of reaching the Round of 32.

The Carthage Eagles had earlier endured a difficult start to their campaign, falling 5-1 to Sweden in their opening fixture. Back-to-back defeats ultimately sealed their fate and confirmed their exit from the competition.

Tunisia now joins Haiti and Turkey as the first countries to be eliminated from the World Cup, marking a disappointing end to their campaign before the group stage concludes.

Despite their elimination, Tunisia will still take to the pitch for their final Group F encounter against the Netherlands in the coming days as they seek to end their World Cup journey on a positive note.
