Chelsea defender Marc Cucurella could be sidelined for upcoming fixtures after sustaining a hamstring injury during the club’s 2-2 draw with Leeds United.
Cucurella reportedly picked up the injury on Tuesday night in the first half of the encounter at Stamford Bridge.
Head coach Liam Rosenior replaced him with Jorrel Hato, who played the remainder of the match.
“He felt his hamstring at half-time,” Rosenior told the media, speaking about Cucurella’s substitution.
“It wasn’t a tactical decision, it was forced.
“Cucu has been performing really well for us and we hope the injury is not serious. We’ll carry out scans and assess whether he’ll be available for the next game.”
