EPL: Maresca Shares Key Chelsea Injury Updates Before Everton Showdown

Chelsea manager Enzo Maresca has provided key injury updates ahead of this weekend’s Premier League clash with Everton, confirming that Cole Palmer is expected to return to action. Palmer missed the midweek Champions League trip to Atalanta but is now in line to feature for the Blues.

Maresca said, “Yeah, he’s OK. He’s better. He’s available at the moment — though we still have one more session this afternoon.”

He added, “Yesterday he completed training with us with mixed feelings, but overall he’s fine.”

Maresca, however, said the timeline for Liam Delap’s shoulder recovery remains unclear.

“We don’t know yet. It can be two, three or four weeks. We don’t know exactly how many days he needs,” he explained.

He also confirmed that Fofana is available to face Everton after recovering from an eye injury, adding, “He’s available, he’s fine. He took part in the session yesterday and is completely fine.”
