Real Madrid have reached an agreement with Fulham for the permanent transfer of academy graduates Gonzalo Garcia and Cesar Palacios in a combined deal worth £42.3 million (€50 million).
According to Sky Sport, the Premier League club will pay around £34 million for Garcia, while Palacios will join for approximately £8.5 million.
Garcia, a 22-year-old striker, rose to prominence after finishing as the top scorer at last summer’s Club World Cup and is now set to continue his career in the Premier League.
Palacios, an 18-year-old midfielder, made his senior debut for Real Madrid in January and is regarded as one of the club’s promising young talents.
The report added that Fulham head coach Alvaro Arbeloa played a key role in securing both transfers, having previously worked closely with Garcia and Palacios during his time as a first-team coach and academy coach at Real Madrid.
The double signing reflects Fulham’s commitment to strengthening its squad with emerging young talent, while Real Madrid continue to reshape their team through strategic player sales.
