Wenger Urged to Challenge Infantino for FIFA Top Job

Former Arsenal manager Arsène Wenger is reportedly under pressure to challenge Gianni Infantino for the FIFA presidency as opposition to the football governing body’s leadership grows.

According to The Guardian, Wenger, who currently serves as FIFA’s Chief of Global Football Development, has emerged as a potential alternative to Infantino.

However, the Frenchman has yet to confirm whether he intends to contest the presidency, leaving uncertainty over whether he will enter the race.

Wenger is reportedly facing pressure from individuals seeking an alternative to Infantino’s leadership of world football.

The Frenchman left Arsenal in 2018 after a 22-year spell as manager and subsequently opted against continuing his coaching career, joining FIFA in a role focused on developing football worldwide.

His possible candidacy could introduce a new dimension to the contest for FIFA’s top position, although Wenger has not formally announced any intention to challenge Infantino.
